Music at the St. Mark's Church is mentioned as far back as the 14th Century when the organ was purchased by the Zagreb Canon Juraj Rees. In the year 1363 the organ at the St. Mark's Church was played by Nikola, and in 1691 the Church had 4 singers who were paid by the Municipality. The current music activity of the St. Mark/s church encompasses the activities of the Oratorio Choir of the St. Mark/s Church which has until today performed over two thousand fiVE hundred concerts in church premises, as well as different public and concert performances and St. Mark/s Soloists the diverse repertoire of which contains compositions of early, renesaince and baroque music, as well as Glagolitic melodies, the works of contemporary Croatian composers and the world heritage of the 20th Century. At concerts in the cycle "MUSIC AT THE ST. MARK'S CHURCH" which we have started in August 2010, once a month at the St. Mark's Church commencing at 12.15, there were numerous tourists, guests of the city of Zagreb as well as inhabitants of Zagreb.
